Description
US PRO Tools 14mm 12-Point Thin-Wall Swivel Magnetic Spark Plug Socket – 3/8″ Drive (Model 5939)
Product Overview
The US PRO Tools (Model 5939) is a professional-grade 14mm 12-point thin-wall swivel magnetic spark plug socket engineered for deep-set, restricted-access spark plugs found in modern multi-valve petrol engines. Featuring an ultra-thin wall profile, a flexible 360-degree universal swivel joint, and an internal magnetic retention ring, this specialized socket securely grips, aligns, and extracts delicate spark plugs without damaging ceramic insulators or risking dropped fasteners in congested cylinder heads.
Key Features & Specifications
-
14mm 12-Point Bi-Hex Profile: Multi-point internal design grips standard 14mm spark plugs securely, offering increased engagement angles in tight, recessed plug wells.
-
Ultra-Thin Wall Construction: Pared-down exterior wall thickness engineered specifically to slip into deep, narrow cylinder head plug tunnels where standard thick-walled sockets cannot fit.
-
Integrated 360-Degree Swivel Joint: Flexible universal joint built into the drive end allows smooth angled access around obstructions like fuel rails, wiring looms, and ignition coil packs.
-
Magnetic Retention Ring: Strong internal magnet securely holds the spark plug firmly inside the socket during insertion and removal, preventing dropped plugs or lost washers.
-
Impact-Grade Chrome Molybdenum Steel: Forged from robust alloy steel, heat-treated, and finished with a corrosion-resistant coating to withstand daily professional workshop use.
-
Standard 3/8″ Square Drive: Compatible with standard 3/8-inch drive ratchets, extension bars, and torque wrenches.
Core Workshop & Automotive Applications
-
Modern Petrol Engine Servicing: Changing spark plugs on modern European, Asian, and American multi-valve engines featuring deep, narrow valve cover spark plug tubes.
-
Restricted Engine Bay Maintenance: Navigating around intake manifolds, turbo plumbing, and cowl panels where straight-line socket access is blocked.
