Christmas Club 2026 – Terms & Conditions
HARDLINE TOOLS CHRISTMAS CLUB
Terms & Conditions
Effective from: 09/08/2026
1. The Christmas Club
1.1 The Hardline Tools Christmas Club allows customers to spread the cost of selected tools and products over a period of time, with the goods being reserved when the Christmas Club is set up.
1.2 The Christmas Club is not a bank account, savings account, credit facility or financial product.
1.3 Membership is available to customers aged 18 or over.
2. Selecting and Reserving Goods
2.1 When joining the Christmas Club, the customer will select the goods they wish to purchase.
2.2 The selected goods will be physically put aside and reserved for the customer when the Christmas Club is set up.
2.3 The goods will remain reserved for the customer throughout the Christmas Club period, subject to the customer complying with these Terms & Conditions.
2.4 The goods remain the property of Hardline Tools until the customer has paid the agreed purchase price in full.
3. Locked-In Price
3.1 The price of each product will be locked in at the price applicable when the goods are put aside and the Christmas Club is set up.
3.2 The locked-in price will not increase during the Christmas Club period.
3.3 If the normal selling price of a reserved product subsequently increases, the customer will still pay the price agreed when the goods were put aside.
3.4 The locked-in price applies only to the specific goods reserved for the customer.
3.5 Any request to change the goods selected after the Christmas Club has been set up must be agreed by Hardline Tools and may result in a change to the agreed price.
4. Payments
4.1 The customer must make at least one payment during every calendar month.
4.2 Payments must be made in store by cash, card or bank transfer.
4.3 The customer may choose how much they pay each month, provided that the full agreed purchase price is paid by the final collection date.
4.4 Payments will be recorded against the customer’s Christmas Club account and deducted from the outstanding balance.
4.5 Customers should retain their receipts or other confirmation of payment.
5. Hardline Rewards
5.1 Customers participating in the Hardline Tools Christmas Club will continue to earn Hardline Rewards points on eligible Christmas Club payments, in accordance with the current Hardline Rewards scheme.
5.2 Rewards points will be credited to the customer’s Hardline Rewards account in accordance with the applicable Hardline Rewards terms.
5.3 Hardline Rewards points are separate from the Christmas Club balance and cannot be used to reduce the outstanding Christmas Club balance unless specifically permitted by Hardline Tools.
5.4 Rewards points earned through Christmas Club payments remain subject to the normal Hardline Rewards terms and conditions, including any applicable expiry dates, exclusions and redemption requirements.
5.5 If a Christmas Club payment is subsequently refunded or converted to store credit following cancellation, Hardline Tools reserves the right to adjust or remove any Rewards points awarded in respect of that payment where permitted under the Hardline Rewards scheme.
6. Missed Payments
6.1 If a customer misses a required monthly payment, Hardline Tools may contact the customer to remind them that a payment is due.
6.2 The customer will be given a reasonable opportunity to bring their payments up to date.
6.3 If payments remain outstanding and the customer does not make arrangements with Hardline Tools, the Christmas Club agreement may be cancelled following reasonable notice.
6.4 If the agreement is cancelled before the goods have been paid for in full, the reserved goods will be returned to Hardline Tools’ available stock.
6.5 Any amount already paid by the customer will be dealt with fairly, taking into account any reasonable and proportionate costs or losses directly resulting from the customer’s failure to complete the purchase.
6.6 Where an amount is due to the customer following cancellation, it will be provided as Hardline Tools store credit, rather than a cash refund, except where a cash refund is required by law.
6.7 Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights the customer may have.
7. Completion and Collection
7.1 The reserved goods must be paid for in full and collected by 31 December 2026.
7.2 Goods will only be released to the customer once the full agreed purchase price has been received.
7.3 The customer is responsible for ensuring that sufficient payments are made to clear the balance by the collection deadline.
7.4 Customers should contact Hardline Tools as soon as possible if they believe they may have difficulty completing their payments by the deadline.
8. No Cash Refunds
8.1 Christmas Club payments are made towards the purchase of the customer’s reserved goods and are not held as cash savings.
8.2 The Christmas Club is not a bank account, savings account or financial product.
8.3 Christmas Club payments cannot be withdrawn or refunded in cash simply because the customer wishes to cancel or leave the scheme.
8.4 If a customer cancels their Christmas Club arrangement, any amount due to the customer after any permitted deductions will normally be provided as Hardline Tools store credit.
8.5 Store credit may be used towards future purchases from Hardline Tools.
8.6 Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.
9. Reserved Goods
9.1 Hardline Tools will make reasonable efforts to keep the reserved goods available for the customer until the agreed collection date.
9.2 Because the goods are physically put aside when the Christmas Club is established, the customer cannot normally exchange the reserved goods for different products.
9.3 Any request to change the reserved goods must be agreed by Hardline Tools.
9.4 If Hardline Tools is unable to supply a reserved product due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, Hardline Tools will contact the customer to discuss a suitable alternative or other appropriate arrangement.
10. Product Condition and Ownership
10.1 The customer will receive the goods in the condition normally supplied by Hardline Tools.
10.2 The goods remain the property of Hardline Tools until the agreed purchase price has been paid in full.
10.3 Once full payment has been received, the goods will be released to the customer.
11. Cancellation by the Customer
11.1 Customers may request cancellation of their Christmas Club arrangement by contacting Hardline Tools.
11.2 If the customer cancels before the reserved goods have been paid for in full, the reserved goods will be returned to Hardline Tools’ available stock.
11.3 No cash refund will normally be provided for Christmas Club payments following cancellation, except where a cash refund is required by law.
11.4 After cancellation, Hardline Tools will calculate the amount of the customer’s payments that is due to them, taking into account any reasonable and proportionate costs or losses directly resulting from the cancellation.
11.5 Where an amount is due to the customer, this amount will be issued as Hardline Tools store credit.
11.6 Store credit may be used towards future purchases from Hardline Tools.
11.7 Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.
11.8 If the reserved goods can be returned to Hardline Tools’ normal stock and resold without significant loss, this will be taken into account when calculating the customer’s store credit.
11.9 Where Hardline Tools has incurred reasonable costs or a genuine loss as a direct result of the cancellation, those costs or losses may be deducted before the store credit is calculated.
11.10 Hardline Tools will not retain payments simply because the customer has cancelled where there has been no corresponding reasonable loss or cost.
11.11 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects the customer’s statutory rights.
12. Fraud or Misuse
12.1 Hardline Tools reserves the right to suspend or cancel a Christmas Club account where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, attempted fraud or misuse of the scheme.
12.2 Any such action will be subject to applicable law.
13. Changes to the Scheme
13.1 Hardline Tools reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the Christmas Club scheme.
13.2 Changes will not affect the locked-in price of goods already reserved or payments already made, except where required or permitted by law.
14. Consumer Rights
14.1 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or limits any statutory rights the customer has under UK consumer law.
14.2 If any provision of these Terms & Conditions conflicts with a customer’s statutory rights, those statutory rights will take precedence.
